Located in eastern Utah, Canyonlands National Park features three districts: Island in the Sky, The Needles, and The Maze. Each showcases a unique landscape carved by the Colorado River. Island in the Sky features dramatic overlooks, The Needles houses towering pinnacles, and The Maze is famous for remote canyons.

Visitor Centers: There are visitor centers in two of the three districts: Island in the Sky Visitor Center and The Needles Visitor Center. There is also a small ranger station near The Maze.
Campgrounds: Willow Flat Campround (Island in the Sky) and The Needles Campground
How to Get There: Island in the Sky and The Needles can be accessed from Utah Highway 191. The Maze is accessed by the unpaved Roost Road.
Best Time to Visit: Due to summer heat and flash floods, it’s best to visit in spring, fall, or winter.
Unique Things to Do: Drive the unpaved roads in The Maze or Island in the Sky to gain a true sense of this wild park.
